Saturday Birthday

This weekend I was home and got to celebrate my sisters 11^th birthday with her. Juan and I took her out for lunch at our favorite Chinese buffet ever! I haven’t been to a good Chinese restaurant since I have moved up here and it was nice to go back to it. Later that night mom took her and her friend plus Juan and I out to cheddars in Joplin. I had a good weekend with my sister. It was so great to spend time with my family and my boyfriend again. And also I would like to add that I have been looking for the marshmallows found lucky charms, and my best friend Lindsey found me some at one of her hometown stores and gave them to me on our way back to Iowa. Yummy! She is the best!

Last Minute Decision

Yesterday at Kanesville arena UCA was hosting a staff tryout. UCA is the biggest company for cheerleading. Staff members from this business have jobs anywhere from holding Elementary, Junior High, and High School camps, to hosting Nationals for High School and College dance and cheer. This business is so popular, and yesterday I had a last minute decision on trying out. I went to this tryout just to watch because I knew for a fact that next year I would want to tryout. I figured if I went and saw the layout of the tryouts I would be able to prepare myself. My coach walked by me and I asked him if I had to leave because it was a closed tryout. He told me no that I should just tryout. So that’s what I did and I really, really hope that I made the job. I love to cheer and to work and be around it every summer until I get sick of it, which will probably be never, would be so incredible.

Best Dance Performance Ever

I just want to say that Britney Spears is my favorite female singer. She is really good at what she does even though; she has gone through a few crazy stages. J Tonight the dance team performed at half time to all of her songs and it was so amazing and fun to watch. I am going to try to post the video but last time I tried it didn’t work too well. I am in the suites now and it’s time to work out to Zumba. It’s the funniest workout video ever! It’s a dance work out and it doesn’t ever get old because it’s so much fun, and it definitely gets the job done.

2 Days Past Due

Today I finally got my Valentine’s Day present from my amazing boyfriend from Houston. He told me to expect it on Monday, the actual Valentine’s Day, but I’m guessing the mailman didn’t deliver until today. He sent me a teddy bear, 2 boxes of chocolates, some caramels, a heart sucker, and some strawberry heart marshmallows. I definitely wasn’t expecting much, but he surprised me and I am so thankful to have him as a boyfriend. I sent him his present about 12 days early just because all the Valentine’s Day stuff was out and it seemed like a good surprise. I sent him a card, chocolate covered cherries, and a box of Russell Stover chocolates. Wasn’t much but it’s the thought that counts.

Great Weekend

My weekend started off great! No School on Friday just time to be lazy and no worries about any homework. Then later that night the girls and I went to a themed get together and dressed as show girls. It was such a fun night. The girls and I have not gone out to do anything in forever, and I miss those days when we all used to hang out. But hopefully we all get back in the routine of making college fun.
                  

 Last night one of the guys on our team had his parents hold a birthday party at his house and we played some cards and a hacky sack game. His mom made some really good mac and cheese, and set out some cookies and chips for us to munch on. It was really fun because I knew pretty much everyone there so it wasn’t awkward at all. Even though everyone on the team doesn’t get along very well we all know how to have fun together.

Tonight’s Game (Halftime)

Tonight we had a boys’ basketball game to cheer at. During half time Kolay set up a half time entertainment show with the human hamster balls. Two of the girls off the cheer team participated in the half time games and it was so interesting to watch. I would never get in one of those because I would definitely trip over myself and make a fool out of myself. I would say the best part of games are either tumbling and stunting, half time performances by the cheer or dance team, or fun games as well.
